We’re in Charlotte!
An update on our lives to those in prayer and support of us! Thank you for taking the time to read and pray for us.
We’ve Made it!
We Arrived in Charlotte on August 5th with so much excitement for our new big city! Exploring Charlotte, meeting new people, and furnishing an apartment has felt like a whirlwind! We are about three weeks away from our official start date with a lot of work left to do! Our organization signed a 10 year lease on a beautiful church complex that is a bit in disrepair. We’ve been having a lot of fun clearing out old furniture, painting walls, etc. Personally, Naomi and I have also enjoyed our Facebook marketplace hunts! It has been a bit of a challenge balancing regular workload with moving, renovations and everything else, but a welcome challenge! We are loving it!

Student Recruitment!
As we’ve mentioned, our main role through the transition and moving forward is Student Recruitment! A major challenge in starting a new base, is getting the word out there! Our reputation through the last 17 years has been synonymous with Kona, Hawaii, thus we are devoting more resources to bringing in students than we ever have! This has looked like showing up to Christian events, gathering leads, reaching out to alumni, social media, etc. I (Matt) have the pleasure of managing our call center, and am full time training a crew, reaching out to leads, interviewing students, building out and giving them all the information they need before they arrive for their missions training school! It has been a challenge that is teaching us amazing skills!
Our prayer requests
We are fervently praying for financial provision during a financially difficult transition!
We are praying for future students who are joining our new base in Charlotte, that they would come to know God in new ways like never before and that their hearts would be sparked for missions.
We are praying for our building while we work hard to restore it while we await a new school! Please continue to pray for Turkey and for our next steps.
